Using Your NDIS Consumables Budget with Equipit

Am I Eligible?

You can order from Equipit if you are:

• An NDIS participant with a Consumables budget (Core Budget, Support Category 03) — self-managed or plan-managed
• A Home Care Package (HCP) recipient
• A CAPS (Continence Aids Payment Scheme) recipient
• An aged care facility, group home, or support coordinator ordering on behalf of a client
• A family member or carer purchasing privately

Please note: Equipit is not currently NDIS-registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. This means participants who are NDIA-managed cannot use Equipit — NDIA-managed plans require registered providers only. If your plan is self-managed or plan-managed, you can order from us today.

How to Pay Using NDIS Funding

If you're self-managed:

Order directly through our website or by phone. We'll provide a compliant tax invoice with all the details you need to claim the cost back through the NDIS portal yourself.

If you're plan-managed:

Order through us, and we'll send an invoice directly to your plan manager for payment, or provide one for you to forward. Just let us know your plan manager's details when you order.

If you're on a Home Care Package:

We provide invoices formatted for HCP claims. Speak to your package provider about submitting the invoice.

If you receive CAPS payments:

CAPS pays eligible individuals directly ($717.10/year as of 2026) — you can use these funds with any supplier, including Equipit.

What Does Consumables Funding Cover?

Continence products, including adult nappies, are funded under Core Budget → Consumables (Support Category 03) in most NDIS plans. If you're not sure whether your plan includes this category, check with your support coordinator or plan manager, or call us and we'll help you figure it out.

Is Equipit an NDIS registered provider?

No. Equipit is not registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. We supply self-managed and plan-managed participants, who are able to use non-registered providers under NDIS rules.

Can NDIA-managed participants order from Equipit?

No. NDIA-managed plans require registered providers only. If you're unsure of your plan management type, check your plan or ask your support coordinator.

Do you accept Home Care Package funding?

Yes. We provide invoices compatible with HCP claims.

What is CAPS and can I use it here?
